The Swiss startup created by a professional entrepreneur with a large experience in the therapy business.
Our client is looking to change the way of acquiring massage services for both the customers, and therapists, and to make communication with each other more streamlined. Also, the client wants to motivate Massage Therapists to use the application and help them in planning out their workday. Nowadays there is a real challenge in finding a good therapist and getting your procedure done. You, as the user, can acquire the contact information of massage therapists with genuine reviews, as if they were from your trusted friends. just from your friends.
An additional important requirement to the solution is a meeting of insurance companies formal procedures to cover therapy costs.
Our team developed an uber-like mobile and web application for clients, therapists, and administrators.
Clients can find massage therapists and order their services online. All feedback and Massage Therapist ratings are available for view by clients.
Therapists can specify the venue of the service and receive orders from clients online. The solution provides therapists with the opportunity to provide services at select workplaces, set the desired prices for services and maintain a calendar of their work schedule.
Our platform contains a flexible management system for administrators. Also, administrators are able to assist, by interviewing therapists, as well as providing various statistics about services and management tools.
The platform solved our product owner’s problem with organizing a system for therapists and clients, which helps to provide and purchase massage services, as well as offering an opportunity to attract new users.
When developing the project, Agile methodology was applied, the SCRUM approach. Sprints lasted 1-2 weeks. We had 4 stages for this project.
BA and UI/UX Design
Our client came to us with a great idea. However, she hadn’t quite panned out how to develop and implement it (a common issue). At the stage of concept formation, the requirements and goals of the client were studied deeply. Our business analyst prepared the necessary documents, which really accelerated the later development of the project.
In this stage, our team was faced with many daunting but interesting challenges. We solved the problem regarding the interaction of all participants involved in the process of providing the service.
We implemented some complicated features:
- Calendars for the therapist and the client, all with a set of customizable options and synchronization between them;
- An administrator is able to get statistics about interactions;
- A time that must be spent commuting between the locations of the service is determined based on the distance the therapist must travel, and then displayed on the work calendar.
Our team provides support for mobile and web applications.
In general, the project is full of a variety of functions, the implementation of many of which requires an individual approach.
The project complexity required different skill sets and we brought in specialists with a variety of technology stacks. The features of the project required the involvement of team members with the use of different technologies.
For the development of the frontend, React JS was chosen as current technology and its reliability for long-term support. Also, we used recompose, Moment.js, Redux, redux-saga, i18next, and Lodash.
The backend part was realized on Python, Django, PostgreSQL.
The mobile app for IOS and Android was implemented on React Native.
